Realist Docking Station

Most upright bass pickups (piezo type) do not come with a volume control.  They just usually get plugged straight into the amp in most cases, or first into some kind of preamp, then on to the amp.  The Docking Station is simply a volume control knob that attaches (as shown) to the end of the string ball, behind the bass tailpiece.

You can simply attach the Docking Station and plug your pickup (female) cord into it.

This is much needed and useful in that you won't have to walk over to your amplifier or preamp to adjust your volume.  It's right there easy to quickly adjust while playing your bass!
